With the sports festival issue out of the way—thanks to Togo-san pulling a miracle—I focused my attention to my work as an adventurer.
“Like I thought, using a sword isn’t really efficient for me.”
“It’s a bit too much for me too…”
“Yeah…”
We were in a room in our Artificial Otherworld. I, Layla, and Yukine surrounded the desk that had a sword on top of it.
So, what do we do about this sword?
The sword in question was the one that a Spartoi from the Crete dungeon dropped for us. A Spartoi was a B rank monster, so its Item Drops could easily go for 2 million yen. Depending on how I sold it, it could even go for 3 million.
Honestly, I was torn. At first I actually wanted to sell it as fast as possible. However, I had a thought: if I changed my mind and wanted one for myself, would I be even able to buy one? I mean, it was a B rank Item Drop after all.
There was the issue of it costing me more if I wanted to buy one, but more than that, would there even be an item like this to buy in regular marketplaces? Such things might be available to countries or maybe large companies, but a mere adventurer like me? Yeah, the chances were exceedingly low.
So, with that in mind, would I come to regret selling this sword? On the other hand, keeping the sword and have it serve as nothing more than an ornament was wasteful. But if I could find a practical use for it…
“I could keep it as a backup weapon, but it’s gonna be a pain to carry 2 two-handed swords…”
“Moreover, Yukine-san and I don’t really take the vanguard position that much.”
“If one of us must have it, I believe Layla-sama would make better use of it. She could use it as a means of self-defense against enemies where her magic might prove inefficient.”
“My argument against that is, under normal circumstances, we won’t be fighting any enemy that strong. I don’t plan on going to high-rank dungeons, and I don’t think I’m unlucky enough to get caught up in another dungeon overflow…”
I guess we really didn’t have a practical use for it.
“I guess we should sell it after all”
“……wait, we can use this to increase our numbers”
“Huh?”
A question mark was practically floating above my head when Layla said that.
“If we can’t use it, why don’t we have someone else use it?”
“Err, you mean, like, asking someone to join us and form a party?”
“Not exactly. I’m thinking of making a Golem.”
“A Golem…huh, seriously?”
In response to my question, Layla deepened her smile.
“Yes! Think about it. A Golem can’t possibly betray us, plus when we’re in a dangerous situation, we can simply have it fight as our shield.”
“I see…”
Now that she says it, I did want a second frontliner for our group. This might be a good idea.
“You can make one, Layla?”
“Yes. Golems are included in what my [Magic Tool Creation] could make.”
“Wow, amazing as always, Layla-sama!”
Layla puffed out her chest. Which made her supple chest shake…
Layla was wearing a green t-shirt and a deep blue knee-length shorts. As for Yukine, she wore a black camisole paired with a blue mini-skirt. They were more casually dressed than usual. Their hairstyle was more laid-back too, with Layla sporting a side ponytail and Yukine a half-up half-down hairstyle.
Maybe it was because they were our otherworld or maybe it was because there was plenty of space, so they were exposing more skin. Their bare, white feet and their attention-grabbing boobs. And because they both have big boobs, their cleavage was deep as well!
Long story short: I was horny at the moment.
“But taking performance into consideration, we might want to be selective about the materials we use. I propose using your Silver Apple as material for the core, and dungeon-borne materials for the frame.”
“Then, I suppose we should prioritize dungeons where we could get the materials we want.”
“Yeah.”
By the way, Yukine knew about my Distinctive Superpower. I mean, it would be impossible to hide it from her anyway.
Given that, we had also turned one room here into a place where we could grow and process Silver Apples. Incidentally, Layla had used Silver Apples to make Magic Tools that handled the air conditioning and heating of this Otherworld. Whether it was the Silver Apples or Layla herself that was amazing, I couldn’t really tell. Heck, maybe the answer is that both were amazing.
“Then, let’s go at it as soon as tomorrow, dear!”
Yukine said so and then leaned into my chest. I felt her soft, voluptuous boobs press to my sides and change shape. I also felt myself drool a bit. What could I say, I had grown to love this cold yet pleasant sensation.
And it was a Friday night. So…
“Kyaa”
I slipped my left hand under her skirt and grabbed her butt through her underwear. Her bouncy butt was just as cold as her boobs, but I actually enjoyed it more.
“Dear!”
“I-is that a no?”
“If it’s what you want, then…”
With a bright red face, Yukine said so and then leaned her body even more toward me. That easily sent my excitement through the roof.
And then, with a glance that asked her if she was game too, I turned toward Layla.
“T-today, how about the 3 of us…”
“Certainly. I have already laid out the futon in the inner chamber, so let’s go”
Layla, with her ever-present smile, gently snuggled to my right side. With the sensation of another pair of boobs, I snorted a bit too excitedly. I even disgusted myself a bit.
But Mom…Dad…thank you for giving birth to me…!

The next day, Saturday. I went to a dungeon that was as large as 2 stations.
[The Giant Trees dungeon]
Each of the many, many trees that grew here was about 10 meters tall. This place was like the Forest dungeon I went to before, but not totally. And it wasn’t just in the size of the trees that they differed.
Firstly, this dungeon was a C rank dungeon. Likely because of the rank, there weren’t many people in the Dungeon Store outside.
This was the first time I ever entered a dungeon of this rank. And to be frank, I was nervous.
Still, I took the lead, followed by Yukine and Layla.
There were quite some distance between trees, so there shouldn’t be an issue in swinging my zweihander around. I would be holding my sword with an overhand grip as I advanced.
“I’m going to do it.”
“Yeah, please.”
Layla struck her staff against the ground and let her magic power flow. This was the same thing she did for the Mandrake. This time though, she was searching for something else.
“…it’s over there”
“Alright, let’s go.”
And so, the three of us marched forward. After about 3 minutes, Layla stopped and pointed to some tree. It looked nothing more than a regular tree to me, but if Layla said it wasn’t, then it surely wasn’t.
“Yukine, that tree,”
“Yes, leave it to me.”
Yukine unfolded a fan in each hand.
It was silver and reflected light so well that one might think it was an iron-ribbed fan. In actuality though, it was genuine wooden fan. To be more precise, it was made with my Silver Apple. Even the coating. The point is, it was like Layla’s staff.
“[Ice Fang]!”
When Yukine swung the fan in her right hand, 5 icicles the size of her arm appeared. Immediately afterward, she sent those icicles toward the tree that Layla pointed at.
There was about 30 meters between her and the tree, yet the icicles made contact in the blink of an eye. And then, with the points of impact being the starting points, ice began to cover the tree.
<<Gyaa!?>>
With an unpleasant sound like hard objects rubbing against one another, its trunk began to wriggle violently. Along with the trunk, the thick branches also swayed, but soon enough, they were all pointed at us. It was then that the tree took on a monstrous appearance: the tip of those branches opened up like they the mouths of lampreys and sprayed saliva.
It was too far away though, so none of those reached us. Not the large whip-like branches, not the acidic spit.
This creature was called a Treant. It was a rather perplexing being. Rather than being a monster that was merely mimicking a tree, it was an actual tree monster. Perhaps the best proof of that was the fact that this monster could drop lumber.
“For good measure, one more time. [Ice Fang]”
The second volley of icicles did the trick and completely froze the Treant. And then, it was dragged down to the ground by its own weight.
After it turned into particles of magic power and soon vanished, all that remained was the empty hole the monster was once buried in… It did not drop anything. Oh well.
“How was it, dear? My sorcery, I mean!”
“It was so amazing, and pretty too”
Despite slightly hiding her lips with the sleeve of her kimono, I was still able to see her captivating smile. She was a beauty indeed.
“Please leave all Treants to me. I’ll freeze them completely.”
“Sure, I’m counting on you.”
Now that Yukine was going to handle the Treants, it was up to Layla and me to crush the rest.
We had heard the loud sound of footsteps. Just about everything in this dungeon was large, yet even the gigantic trees were shaking from the rumbling brought by those footsteps.
And soon enough, in the gaps between the large trees, we saw the face of a large individual. It stood at about 3 meters tall. It had dark green skin and yellow eyes. It also had facial hair plus long, untidy black hair. Moreover, it had fur-like, thick body hair all over its limbs.
It was dragging along in its hand a club that was just the right size for its big body. And when it saw us, it quickly gave us a roar.
This creature was called a Troll.
It lifted its giant club up as it rushed straight for us. Seeing it do that, visions of the Minotaur flashed back in my mind for an instant. However, this was a very different scenario. This monster just wasn’t anywhere near as abnormal as a Minotaur.
“Layla!”
“[Enchant: Flame]!”
She swung her wand once and the blade of my zweihander became wrapped in flames.
At that point, I began rushing toward the incoming giant as well. Its strides were much longer than mine, but even that wasn’t enough to bridge the gap between our speeds. Before long, I had leapt for it to be within my arm’s reach.
I brandished my sword to slash at the Troll’s right knee. I was able to cut through the thick skin and flesh, shattering even the bone.
“GaAAAaaaA!?”
The Troll let out a throaty scream as it fell over. I circled around to its right side to avoid the falling Troll and then jumped on its back. I swung my sword once more, this time at its neck. That burned many of the Troll’s hair—each strand about as thick as a person’s finger—and severed its head.
Trolls were feared not only for their physical strength but also of their tenacious and bizarre regenerative abilities. That said, they had pretty glaring weaknesses: their slowness and the fact that it could not regenerate any burned wounds.
Beheading it would unsurprisingly kill it, but injuries even as grave as having one of its legs cut off would apparently be healed like nothing happened in only a matter of a few minutes.
“Oh, well done! Dear! Layla-sama!”
“Err, thanks”
I felt embarrassed as Yukine stroked the back of my head through my helm. It felt nice to be complimented by such a beauty.
Now, if only the Troll dropped an item. Which of course it didn’t. Man.
Treants dropped “Lumber”, while Trolls dropped “Large Skulls”. The latter wasn’t worth much, but it was better than nothing.
At any rate, Layla used her Nature Magic again and felt around with her magic power. Treants spread their roots into the ground, so her magic was definitely convenient for searching where they were hiding.
“!!”
After walking a while, my Magic Eye activated.
“Get down!”
“Roger!”
“Hyaa!?”
Layla and Yukine quickly crouched down, while I swung my sword sideways. When my sword reached the place where Yukine’s head was just a moment ago, the sound of hard objects colliding was heard. There was of course my sword, but as for what it collided with…it was a spike.
But, as mentioned, everything in this forest was large. The spike in question was about the size of a child’s arm. After it hit the blade of my sword, it dropped down and got stuck into the ground.
“Back me up!”
“On it!”
Sword in hand, I dashed at the source of the attack.
A monster that would silently approach its prey and then launch a venomous spike from the gaps between the trees. There was only one type of monster in this dungeon that operated like that according to my prior research.
I activated my Magic Power Discharge and…
“Yaaaa!!”
I took a guess as to which tree it was likely hiding and smashed the tree’s trunk with my sword.
The tree was too smashed up for me to say it was a clean cut, but those smashed parts and bits flew away and crashed against other trees. Yet, there was no sign of the monster.
Just as I was visually confirming it, my Magic Eye activated again.
“Oop”
I bent my body backward as quickly as I could and was soon greeted by a passing massive claw. I countered attack with a swipe of my sword, but the monster avoided it with its agile movement.
And so, there it was, finally visible several meters ahead of me, glaring at us. It looked a lot like a lion, the so-called king of beasts. This monster has 4 main differences with those you would find out it the wilds.
First of all, its size. Despite being on all fours, it head was still as high as mine. And without taking into account its tail, its overall length must still have been about 4 meters long.
Second, its mane. While a lion’s mane was usually kind of brown in color, this monster had a mane that was a deep red. It was a shade that closely resembled that of blood. And in this large forest, that kind of red really stood out.
Thirdly, its face. It had cat-like pupils, nose, and mouth. However, the shape of its eyes and its ears were entirely human-like. It certainly gave off a sense of eeriness.
And the fourth and last difference was its tail. The closest I could liken it with was the tail of a scorpion. Covered in exoskeleton and segmented at points, the tail was large. It was so large that even an adult man would probably just barely wrap their arm around it. And at the tip, there was a collection of spikes. At the moment, a new spike was being pushed out from within to replace the one it just fired.
This monster was called a Manticore.
“Garururu…!”
No sooner than I heard a low growl, the Manticore dashed and then jumped up at a tree, just so it could use the tree as a springboard to launch itself at us. It was fast. In terms of at least raw speed, it was likely faster than me.
And while it was in the air, it spun around sideways. Of course, its tail spinning along with it. That cluster of spikes could kill any regular person before the poison even kicked in, making it a true menace.
But it was not such a big deal for this body of mine.
As I crouched down to avoid the incoming Manticore, I also swung my sword upward. Thanks to my kinetic vision being improved by the fact that I possessed some kind of Magic Eye, I was able to accurately spot the gap between its exoskeleton. I slid my blade into one of those gaps.
By using its momentum against it, even I with my shoddy swordsmanship was able cut its tail with no problem. The tip full of venomous spikes was thrown toward some trees in the distance.
“Gyaaaa!?”
It lost its balance as soon as it touched the ground and fell over. While I frowned at its human-like scream, I guided my sword toward its neck.
The Manticore tried to evade but unfortunately for it, I wasn’t by myself.
“[Oh, Earth]”
An earthen wall arose along its escape path and caused the Manticore to stop for a moment. In that moment though, I was able to lop off the head along with the mane. It happened so fast the monster didn’t even have time for a death throe.
Nevertheless, I knew better than to let my guard down. I stepped away from the supposed corpse, and remained vigilant until the corpse turned into particles and vanished.
Once I confirmed it was gone, I did a quick scan of my surroundings as I breathed a sigh of relief.
“Are you alright, dear!?”
“Yup. How about you and Layla?”
“No problems here.”
“None for me as well.”
I was so glad neither of them were hurt. Stat-wise, we were stronger than it, so I expected that we would be safe, but dungeons just weren’t the place where one could get complacent.
I was more nervous than expected, but at the same time, I fought better than I expected. According to what we were taught in the training seminar: we must not be too tense or too relaxed, and we must explore with presence of mind…yeah, no, this shit is tougher than what they made them out to be.
While still holding the hilt of my sword, I took a deep breath. Ah, I thought, my heart’s pounding like crazy.
“Alright, let’s continue our exploration, okay?”
“Agreed! This is my first exploration with you, but I hope to be as helpful as possible!”
“That’s good and all, but remember, safety first. It all means nothing if we die.”
“Right”
* * *
Although we split it into a morning and afternoon session, we explored for a total of 4 hours today. Our drops were 2 “Treant Lumber” and 1 “Troll Skull”. We sold the Troll Skull, so our total earnings today was 221,650 yen. Man, C Rank dungeons sure were profitable.
But more importantly, we managed to secure 2 pieces of Treant Lumber. Each piece was nearly 2 meters long, but we didn’t have to worry about how to handle it or its weight all thanks to my Item Bag.
Once we get back home, I should probably discuss with Yukine and Layla what kind of golem we would make.
But anyway, today as well, we would end our exploration with a spring in my steps while I headed toward the bus stop.

Q: The Main Character is a horny monkey!
A: The main character is written based on the author’s prejudices on how an ordinary high school boy might react if he was with 2 beautiful women who are totally ok with doing lewd things. If this displeases you, the author apologizes.
Q: What are a Yuki Onna’s opinion on being together with a Guardian Spirit.
A:
Yukine: To be frank, I was surprised at first. But Layla-sama is also my husband, so it doesn’t really bother me. Moreover, I have next to nothing to worry about in terms of cheating, so that’s good.
Chifuyu: I know, right? But no matter what kind of fetishes my master might have, as long as she doesn’t cheat on me, I will devote myself to her, much like any Yuki Onna would for their partner.
